Margaret Ellen (List) Klepfer 95, of Oaklandon, passed away on February 22, 2011. She was born December 27, 1915 to the late Emil and Carrie (Teal) List in Indianapolis.

She graduated from Oaklandon High School in 1934 and from Indiana Business College in 1935. She was married on November 27, 1938 to Komer Kendall Klepfer, her husband for 66 years. She worked for Murrey, Mannon, Fairchild and Stewart, attorneys and after raising her children, worked for Del Monte Sales Co. and retired in 1982. She was a member of the Oaklandon Universalist-Unitarian Church and volunteered for Crossroads Rehabilitation Center for over 20 years, Pan Am games and the convention center.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Andrea Wantz and Carol Ann Murphy), one grandson, sisters Elizabeth Mae Green, Thelma Lorena Sparrow, Virginia Nell List and brother Rex Teal List. She is survived by her two sons, John C. (Pat) Klepfer and Steven L (Marilynn) Klepfer, 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her sister-in-law Margaret Cooling.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Margaret’s name to Crossroads Rehab Center or The American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held at Harry Moore Funeral Care on Saturday, February 26, from 10-11:30am with service at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Oaklandon Cemetery.
